Minimally Invasive Surgery

Combining an expertise in hepatobiliary surgery with skill in minimally invasive techniques, we offer a minimally invasive approach, such as laparoscopic and robot-assisted surgery. During laparoscopic surgery, we use small incisions for thin instruments and a camera to perform your surgery. Robot-assisted surgery also uses small incisions, but adds the benefit of greater instrument and camera control. Benefits of minimally invasive surgery include less postoperative discomfort, shorter hospital stays, earlier return to daily activities, and smaller scars. Examples of laparoscopic and robot-assisted procedures we perform:

  • Laparoscopic/ Robot-assisted liver resection
  • Laparoscopic /Robot-assisted distal pancreatectomy
  • Laparoscopic /Robot-assisted drainage/resection of liver cysts
  • Laparoscopic /Robot-assisted bile duct resection
  • Laparoscopic /Robot-assisted gallbladder removal
