When you have to have surgery, you want to make sure that you are in the most capable hands possible.  In the Hackensack University Medical Center Division of General Surgery, all of our surgeons and staff are dedicated to the pursuit of excellence.  We are guided by our commitment to providing advanced and appropriate care, delivering the best possible outcomes, and maintaining open communications with you and your family.
All of our surgeons are highly trained and board-certified in their practice areas and offer outstanding advanced training.  Each year, we perform thousands of inpatient and outpatient procedures that cover a wide range of adult general surgical fields, including:

Many of the members of the General Surgery Division are trained in advanced minimally invasive approaches utilizing laparoscopy, endoscopy, in addition to the use of the latest robotic equipment and techniques.  These are all used to facilitate patient comfort and rehabilitation.  These recent advances provide an additional expertise to many of the classical open procedures that may be necessary.
